Create New... Click Page to create a new page.
Perform actions on multiple objects simultaneously Click the actions link to change multiple pages simultaneously. Use this option to delete, move, copy, export, grant access, make public or private, or enable or disable item level security on multiple pages in one step.
Find

Use the Find field to locate a particular page group object.

Example: If you are searching for a category called Customer Care and you do not know which page group it belongs to, enter Customer Care in the Find field and click Go.

Note: You cannot limit the search to a particular object type. This means that if you are searching for a particular page, the search returns every page group object that matches the text you enter in the Find field: pages, templates, styles, and so on.

Path

Displays your current location within the Navigator. In this case, Page Groups > PageGroupDisplayName > Pages, or if you have drilled down to the sub-pages of a particular page, Page Groups > PageGroupDisplayName > Pages > ParentPageDisplayName.

Click a link in the path to move to a higher level in the hierarchy.

Type

Displays the type of the page:

  • Standard pages display portlets and items.
  • Mobile pages display portlets and items. Mobile pages provide a way to design pages specifically for display in mobile devices, such as cell phones. Standard pages can also be displayed in mobile devices, however the standard page design environment is more suited to creating pages for larger display devices, such as PC monitors.
  • URL pages display the content of a particular URL.
  • PL/SQL pages display the results of executing PL/SQL code.
  • JSP pages display JavaServer Pages (JSPs).

User-created custom page types are also listed here.

Note: The page group administrator may choose to prevent certain types of pages being created in the page group.

Name

Shows the Display Name of the page. Click to display the page.

If the page is a mobile page, clicking the page name displays the mobile page viewer, which provides a preview of how the page looks in a mobile device.

Actions

Under Actions, you see only the actions you are authorized to perform. If you do not see a particular action, you do not have the page group or page privilege to perform that action. Click the link:

  • Sub-Pages to drill down and list the sub-pages of this page. This action displays only if the page has sub-pages.
  • Create Sub-Page to create a sub-page under this page.
  • Edit to edit the content of this page.

  • Delete to delete this page, its sub-pages, and contents.

  • Copy as JSP to create a JSP copy of this page. This action displays when JSP access has been enabled for the page's page group.
  • Download JSP to download the JSP to your file system. This action displays when JSP access has been enabled for the page's page group.
  • Convert to Template to create a copy of this page and convert that copy to a Portal Template for pages. If a page is based on a template, you cannot convert it to a template until you detach the page from the template.
